The role of a celebrant

The milestones in each of our lives are often marked by traditions and rituals we've inherited. Our world has grown evermore diverse and we no longer have to be confined to prescribed rules. The coming together of cultures, faiths and conventions means a kaleidoscope of options are available to you so you can choose to mark your key events however you wish.

And that's where the role of a celebrant comes in.

As a wordsmith and storyteller, I am able to put voice to the emotions and feelings you have, to shape the ceremony you want. With more freedom than religious officials or registrars, I am able to include any element you want in your ceremony and have the flexibility to perform it anywhere you wish.

My previous roles have all been both people-oriented and creative. I love words and learning new vocabulary, even now as an adult. A little nerdy some might say but I fully embrace my love of language. There can be such subtly in the meaning of some words and phrases but exchanging one for another can change the tone and mood of writing. In celebrancy, I have found the perfect job: it encapsulates language and writing with bringing joy or comfort to people and what could be more fulfilling?  Each ceremony I create is completely bespoke. After time spent with you or your family and friends, I use the stories and thoughts you've shared to hone and tailor the ideal  Handcrafted ceremony.

So if you have a service or celebration that needs a celebrant, then I would be honoured to be a part of its creation.
